Job summary

PL Developments (PLD) is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine pharmaceutical testing using HPLC, GC, and UV, while preparing solutions and maintaining lab equipment. The role emphasizes compliance with cGLP/cGMP, documentation, and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will work 2nd shift (Mon–Fri 2:00pm–10:30pm) or 3rd shift (Sun–Thu 10:00pm–6:30am), with competitive pay and opportunities to contribute to product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science (or equivalent training/experience)
• Knowledge of GLP, cGMP, FDA and related regulatory requirements
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry
• Basic math skills, including statistics
• Basic chemistry or related science skills
• Experience with laboratory software/tools (HPLC, FTIR, UV, LIMS, Lab Calc, GC)
• Knowledge of sampling methods and quality control systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform testing accurately and precisely

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsibilities in line with company policies and applicable regulations (cGLP/cGMP) and SOPs
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of lab instruments (pH meter, HPLC, dissolution equipment)
• Prepare standard and sample solutions for test methods
• Operate general analytical instruments for routine testing (HPLC, GC, UV, titration, IR)
• Conduct wet chemistry tests (LOD, pH, titration)
• Analyze intermediate and finished products
• Troubleshoot analytical test methods and instruments
• Maintain documentation and lab notebooks per SOPs
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards
• Participate in training programs as needed
• Perform related duties as assigned
