Job summary

PL Developments, also known as PLD, is seeking an Associate for laboratory work in the pharmaceutical industry. You will perform routine testing with analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, and UV, prepare solutions, and document results.

The role includes maintaining equipment, troubleshooting methods, and ensuring accurate records. Shifts include 2nd shift (Mon–Fri 2:00pm–10:30pm) and 3rd shift (Sun–Thu 10:00pm–6:30am).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science OR equivalent training/experience.
• Knowledge of GLP, cGMP, FDA and other regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry and quantitative methods.
• Basic math skills, including statistics.
• Experience with analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, UV, LIMS, FTIR, GC).
• Knowledge of sampling methods and quality control systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform testing accurately and precisely.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties in accordance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements (cGLP/cGMP).
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of lab instruments (e.g., pH meter, HPLC, dissolution equipment).
• Prepare standard and sample solutions for test methods.
• Operate analytical instruments for routine testing (HPLC, GC, UV, titration, IR).
• Perform wet chemistry tests (e.g., LOD, pH, titration).
• Analyze intermediate and finished products; troubleshoot methods and instruments.
• Maintain proper documentation (lab notebooks/records) per SOPs.
• Adhere to safety practices and housekeeping; assist in training as needed.
