Job summary

Amneal is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in New Jersey to uphold, repair and operate facility infrastructure and utility systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to keep operations running smoothly.

You will handle plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry and basic data recording, ensuring cGMP compliant records and safe working conditions, with PPE compliance and attention to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years in facility maintenance.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, production, or lab environments preferred.
• Ability to follow safety standards and read blueprints.
• Proficient computer literacy for work orders and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.) to provide operable and efficient plumbing capabilities to department personnel.
• Maintains and repairs all building finishes and associated support equipment including but not limited to: wall, floor and ceiling finishes, electric systems, plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Installs insulation to building walls, ceilings and floors to provide sound and thermal barriers using various tools and materials.
• Performs painting, carpentry and masonry work to provide operable and efficient facilities for department personnel.
• Conducts repairs and preventive maintenance tasks on all utility equipment in the physical plant in a safe and proper manner.
• Basic computer knowledge to execute work order requests and online documentation.
• Is proficient in filter installation, maintenance, and testing; maintains, repairs, installs, lubricates, and adjusts all types of utility equipment.
• Conducts data recording assignments and maintains detailed equipment and preventive maintenance records for cGMP compliance.
• Monitors and adjusts building environmental and equipment operational set points; responds to out of spec situations and analyzes problems.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance (fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs, ballast, etc.).
• Daily/monthly inspections of facility equipment and services; manage logs.
• Wear proper PPE – a must.
