Job summary

Gilead is seeking an experienced Events Manager in the United States to lead and coordinate complex HCP programs and conferences. You will partner with executives and vendors, manage budgets, and ensure seamless on-site execution across stages, travel, catering, A/V, and post-event analysis.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in pharmaceutical event planning, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a proven track record of supervising junior staff and delivering results under pressure.

Qualifications

• BA degree with 6+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical or event planning
• Master’s degree with 4 years experience in relevant field
• Excellence in events management/planning/coordination and vendor management
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Organize and plan logistics for HCP programs and conferences
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors
• Communicate with attendees including executive management
• Attend events to ensure catering, travel, A/V, space, and dinner run as planned
• Prepare/distribute meeting communications and post-event analysis
• Negotiate vendor contracts and conduct site visits
• Manage budgets and track expenses per legal requirements
• Oversee day-to-day activities of Events Assistants and Associates
• Develop/update departmental processes and train staff
