Job summary

Bechtel seeks a Deputy Commissioning Manager to support the CQV lifecycle for a cGMP pharmaceutical facility. You will align commissioning, validation, and operations teams to ensure safe, well-documented turnover from construction to operations.

The role requires collaboration across engineering, QA, and project management, with a focus on risk reduction, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline; PE preferred.
• 10+ years of industrial commissioning, startup, CQV, or facility operations experience.
• Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of commissioning strategies and execution plans.
• Coordinate day-to-day commissioning across process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, utilities, and automation systems.
• Lead commissioning teams to achieve milestones safely and efficiently.
• Support development of schedules, resource plans, and turnover priorities.
• Participate in CQV planning sessions and readiness reviews.
• Coordinate with Validation teams to ensure regulatory expectations are met.
