Job summary

Bechtel seeks a Deputy Commissioning Manager to support CQV activities for a cGMP pharmaceutical facility. You will collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Operations, QA, Validation, vendors, and project management to ensure safe commissioning and turnover from Mechanical Completion through Operational Readiness.

The role emphasizes leadership of commissioning teams, development of schedules, test procedures, and regulatory-compliant documentation, with part-time telework and required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• PE registration preferred for senior roles.
• Experience in industrial commissioning, startup, CQV, or facility operations.
• Experience supporting large capital projects ($200M+ preferred).
• Knowledge of cGMP, FDA/EU GMP, ISPE Baseline Guides, GAMP5.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Commissioning Manager in developing commissioning strategies and project execution plans.
• Coordinate day-to-day commissioning activities across process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, utilities, and automation systems.
• Lead commissioning teams to achieve milestones safely and efficiently.
• Support development and management of commissioning schedules, resource plans, and turnover priorities.
• Facilitate commissioning meetings and provide status updates to project leadership.
• Coordinate with Validation teams to ensure documentation meets regulatory expectations.
