Job summary

Axiom is seeking a Pharmaceutical Contracts Counsel to support client engagements across the life sciences sector. Location: United States (remote or flexible on-site/hybrid depending on engagement).

You will draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, SOWs, work orders, and MTAs while supporting IT, SaaS, event, and vendor contracts. You will partner with Legal, Procurement, IT, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams, manage a large contract pipeline, and ensure regulatory compliance in pharma.

Qualifications

• 4-12+ years of experience in commercial contracting within pharma, biotech, or life sciences.
• Experience drafting and negotiating MSAs, SOWs, work orders, and related agreements in high-volume settings.
• Exposure to IT/software agreements, vendor contracts, event/sponsorships, and MTAs.
• Ability to act as a generalist supporting multiple business units and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with pharma manufacturing, distribution, or supply agreements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, work orders, and change orders.
• Support various contracts types including IT licenses, SaaS subscriptions, event and sponsorship agreements, and MTAs.
• Provide business-focused legal advice on contract terms, risk allocation, and negotiation strategy.
• Partner with Legal, Procurement, IT, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to meet day-to-day contracting needs.
• Support manufacturing and supply chain agreements with CMOs, CDMOs, and distribution partners.
• Ensure contracts align with internal policies and regulatory requirements in pharma.
• Contribute to contract process improvements, templates, playbooks, and scalable workflows.
• Manage multiple concurrent matters with competing deadlines in a high-volume environment.
