Job summary

Axiom, a global leader in high-caliber on-demand legal talent, seeks an experienced Clinical Trial, Commercial & R&D Counsel to support pharma and health system clients remotely in the United States. You will draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, SOWs, CTAs, and NDAs for global CRO collaborations and life sciences deals.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D. and active bar membership, with biotech or pharma experience, and strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership in good standing.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device or health system sectors (blended background preferred).
• Experience in global transactional work, CROs, or R&D legal matters (pre-clinical, sponsored research).
• Familiarity with IP transactions in the life sciences space.
• Experience supporting licensing, collaboration, and research agreements.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, SOWs, CTAs, NDAs/CDAs, and consulting agreements.
• Provide legal support for global transactions and cross-border collaborations.
• Advise on CRO engagements and R&D-related matters (pre-clinical, MTAs, sponsored research).
• Support licensing, collaboration, and research agreements in life sciences.
• Collaborate with BD&L and other business stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
• Structure and negotiate research collaborations and related deals.
