Compliance Management International (CMI) seeks a Construction Safety Specialist to support an active pharmaceutical construction project in Elkton, VA. You will oversee safety on site, coach teams, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

The role requires field leadership, hazard recognition, and the ability to manage high‑risk activities, with overtime and weekend work as needed. CMI offers competitive pay and benefits including 401(k) with company match and paid time off.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience.
• Pharmaceutical construction safety experience required.
• OSHA 510 certification required.
• OSHA 30‑Hour Construction training within past five years.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards.
• Experience overseeing high‑risk construction activities.
• Strong communication, leadership, and hazard recognition skills.
• Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as project needs require.

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily field safety oversight for contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and observations.
• Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Support Pre‑Task Plans (PTPs), JSAs/JHAs, permits, and incident investigations.
• Conduct orientations, toolbox talks, and safety training.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and client safety requirements.
• Monitor high‑risk activities including fall protection, electrical safety, and cranes/rigging.
• Maintain required safety reports and documentation.
• Coach field personnel and partner with project leadership to improve safety performance.
