Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to lead and support a team responsible for operating and maintaining critical building systems on a large pharmaceutical campus. The role emphasizes collaboration with the client, vendors, and contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations and continuous performance across multiple buildings.

The position requires 5–8 years of related experience, knowledge of CMMS/SAP, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Prior shift leader or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CMMS/SAP systems and pharmaceutical experience are both a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset.
• Exceptional math skills for calculating percentages, discounts, and markups.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the unionized employees to ensure optimum performance.
• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities with other departments within the client’s facility.
• Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
• Point of contact for escalated communications between landlord, tenants, and service providers; ensure procedures and reporting formats are understood and implemented.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, cGxP procedures, specifications, and documentation practices.
• Arrange for regular maintenance of equipment.
• Review data from work order reports and present performance and progress reports to management.
• Approve work order reports and suggest improvements to efficiency.
• Monitor the team’s performance using monthly metrics.
• Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to achieve team objectives.
• Proactively evaluate current and future services and recommend improvements.
• Maintain key relationships with client and lead by example per CBRE RISE values.
