Job summary

Nivagen Pharmaceuticals Inc. is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician – Aseptic & Packaging Systems in Sacramento, CA.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on aseptic packaging lines, including isolators and RABS, ensuring GMP compliance and safety. The role supports sterile filling, inspection, and labeling operations, troubleshooting complex equipment, and documenting all activities in CMMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent training in industrial maintenance, automation, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years of maintenance experience in pharmaceutical/regulated manufacturing preferred.
• Experience maintaining manufacturing, packaging, or automated production equipment required.
• Experience in GMP-regulated environments preferred; aseptic processing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment issues.
• Support equipment used in aseptic processing, sterile filling, inspection, labeling, and packaging operations.
• Perform equipment setup, adjustments, alignments, component replacement, lubrication, calibration support, and functional testing.
• Respond to production equipment breakdowns and support timely return to service.
• Maintain and troubleshoot packaging and inspection equipment including labelers, cartoners, case packers, conveyors, vision systems, and serialization equipment.
• Document work orders and maintenance history in CMMS such as SAP PM, Maximo, or Blue Mountain.
