Job summary

Nivagen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to support, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automation and control systems in a cGMP pharmaceutical environment.

You will work on aseptic processing, sterile filling, inspection, and packaging systems across manufacturing utilities and facilities. Responsibilities include ownership of PLC/HMI/SCADA platforms, equipment controls, and data interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of automation/controls experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with PLC/HMI troubleshooting, programming, and system support required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support for automation and control systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, servo, motion control, robotics, and equipment communication issues.
• Support aseptic formulation, sterile filling, vials, syringes, cartridges, and packaging lines.
• Diagnose downtime events and support production schedules.
• Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC/HMI applications per site standards.
• Assist with validation and change control activities.
