Job summary
Jacobs is seeking an Architectural Specifications Writer (Remote or Hybrid) to craft project specifications and advise architecture teams throughout design and construction for large-scale Life Sciences projects. You’ll develop and maintain manufacturer relationships, research products, and support teams from design through construction.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture, 10 years of experience with 5 in specs, fluency in building codes, and strong communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Architecture school.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with at least 5 years in specifications development.
- Experience on Life Sciences/pharma manufacturing projects supporting design teams.
- Strong knowledge of construction detailing and constructability.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams across locations.
- Proficiency with MS Teams and MS Office; Bluebeam Revu.
- US Citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Develop project specifications and provide technical advice to architecture teams.
- Support design through construction phases on large-scale pharmaceutical projects.
- Maintain relationships with product representatives and connect teams to manufacturers.
- Assist with RFIs and submittals during construction administration.
- Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary team structures.
