Job summary

BE&K Building Group in Clayton, NC seeks a General Superintendent to lead field operations for pharmaceutical construction projects, including APIs, and to ensure GMP, FDA guidelines, and ASRS requirements are met. MUST HAVE PHARMACEUTICAL CONSTRUCTION AND ASRS EXPERIENCE!!!

You will monitor schedules, quality, and safety; coordinate with clients, architects, and engineering teams; recruit and mentor field staff; oversee pre-construction tasks, baselines, and turnover; and support business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years of general contracting experience.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Business judgment to balance budget and construction processes.
• Excellent organizational skills for complex projects.
• Judgment to elevate issues appropriately within the chain of command.
• Strong sense of urgency, initiative, and adaptability.
• Diplomatic and communication skills for senior management interactions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor projects for schedule conformance, quality, and SOP adherence.
• Develop client relationships and ensure client satisfaction with project progress.
• Recruit, mentor, and train field personnel including Superintendents and field staff.
• Oversee construction and renovation of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities (APIs).
• Ensure compliance with GMP regulations and FDA guidelines.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to integrate equipment and systems for API production.
• Lead field operations and support business development efforts.
• Participate in pre-construction activities and baselining schedules and budgets.
