Job summary

On-Board Services is seeking an Analytical Scientist for a 1-year contract in Lower Gwynedd, PA. The role involves on-site analytical testing of drug products and APIs using HPLC/UPLC and dissolution techniques, with data interpretation and visualization for team communication.

The candidate should have a BS in Analytical Chemistry (4–6 yrs), MS (1–3 yrs) or PhD (0–2 yrs) in related fields, hands-on chromatography, ELN usage, and GMP knowledge.

Qualifications

• BS in Analytical Chemistry or related field with 4–6 years, MS with 1–3, or PhD with 0–2 years.
• Hands-on wet chemistry and chromatography experience.
• Experience with HPLC/UPLC and dissolution.
• Experience with chromatographic data integration and Empower software or other chromatographic data acquisition systems.
• Experience using an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, interdisciplinary environment.
• UV spectroscopy experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of GMP, quality, compliance, and data integrity requirements.
• Working knowledge of statistics and data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab).
• Experience with dissolution studies (comparative/multi-media) is preferred.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of drug products and APIs under the supervision of a Senior Scientist.
• Perform analytical testing using HPLC/UPLC and dissolution techniques.
• Perform data analysis using chromatography and spectroscopy data.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret raw data and prepare graphs and other visualizations to communicate results.
• Present analytical results and findings to the team in a timely manner.
• Apply knowledge of technical, regulatory, and GMP requirements related to drug product development.
• Troubleshoot analytical techniques, including chromatography, dissolution, and spectroscopy.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team while also managing laboratory activities independently.
• Apply strong problem-solving skills to support analytical testing and development activities.
