Position Overview
We are currently seeking a temporary Scientist for an immediate onsite position within an Analytical Sciences laboratory. The successful candidate will perform analytical testing of drug products and APIs under the supervision of a Senior Scientist.
The candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A good understanding of the technical, regulatory, and GMP requirements related to drug product development is expected.
Key Skills
- HPLC and dissolution experience is required.
- Analytical Chemistry background is required.
- Expertise with Empower software is preferred.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- BS with 4+ years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry, or
- MS with 1+ years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry, or
- Ph.D. with 0-2 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry.
Required Experience and Skills
- Hands-on analytical laboratory experience, including wet chemistry and chromatography.
- Expertise in Liquid Chromatography (HPLC/UPLC) and dissolution.
- Hands-on experience with chromatographic integration and Empower software or other chromatographic data acquisition systems.
- Experience with Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN).
- Experience collecting and analyzing raw data and preparing graphs and other visualization tools to help interpret results.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Expertise in UV.
- Working knowledge of laboratory GMP, quality, compliance, and data integrity requirements, including recent industry trends.
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting analytical techniques such as chromatography, dissolution, and spectroscopy.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in the laboratory.
- Working knowledge of statistics and statistical tools, including Excel or Minitab.
- Experience conducting comparative and/or multi-media dissolution studies.
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing of drug products and APIs under the supervision of a Senior Scientist.
- Perform analytical testing using techniques such as HPLC/UPLC and dissolution.
- Perform data analysis involving chromatography and spectroscopy.
- Analyze and interpret raw analytical data and prepare graphs and other visualization tools.
- Present analytical results to the team in a timely manner.
- Apply a strong understanding of technical, regulatory, and GMP requirements related to drug product development.
- Troubleshoot analytical methods and techniques as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams.
- Work independently in the laboratory while maintaining quality, compliance, and data integrity standards.
