Salary Range: $19.00 - $21.00 Hourly

About the Role:

The Terrain Park Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, construction, maintenance, and safety of terrain parks within a ski resort or recreational area. This role ensures that all features meet industry standards and provide a safe, enjoyable experience for riders of varying skill levels. The Terrain Park Lead collaborates closely with grooming teams, safety personnel, and management to optimize park layout and functionality throughout the season. They also lead a team of park staff, providing training and guidance to maintain high-quality park conditions. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in enhancing guest satisfaction and promoting a vibrant, dynamic terrain park environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience in terrain park construction, maintenance, or related snow sports facility management.
  • Strong knowledge of snow safety standards and terrain park feature design.
  • Ability to operate grooming and construction equipment safely and effectively.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to guest service.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in related safety training.
  • Experience with CAD or design software for terrain park planning.
  • Previous experience working in a ski resort or winter sports environment.
  • First aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices related to snow sports operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain terrain park features such as jumps, rails, boxes, and halfpipes to ensure safety and rider enjoyment.
  • Conduct daily inspections of park features and surrounding areas to identify and address any safety hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of park staff, providing training on construction techniques, safety protocols, and guest interaction.
  • Collaborate with grooming and operations teams to schedule and execute park preparation and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor weather and snow conditions to adjust park features and maintenance plans accordingly.
  • Communicate with management and guests to gather feedback and implement improvements to park design and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
