Job summary

Veolia Group's Water Technology Business in the United States seeks a Lead Applications Technologist to tackle PFAS mitigation challenges in water treatment and reuse, combining laboratory, bench-scale, pilot-scale, and field studies.

The role collaborates with Process Engineering, Commercial, Product Management and Market Development to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions. A PhD is preferred, with strong writing and data skills, and proficiency in Google Workspace.

Qualifications

• PhD in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline preferred.
• Hands-on experience developing treatment processes for water/wastewater.
• Experience operating lab, bench-scale, pilot-scale, or demo-scale systems.
• Experience with analytical characterization of water/wastewater samples.
• Strong interest in PFAS treatment and mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead treatability and feasibility studies aligned with business goals and customer requirements.
• Develop project proposals with technical protocols, scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Design, set up, operate, and troubleshoot lab, bench-scale, and pilot-scale treatment systems.
• Support field studies and sampling/testing programs.
• Apply engineering, chemistry, biology, statistics, and process modeling to evaluate treatments.
• Contribute ideas to improve existing technologies or develop new concepts.
• Document and interpret experimental data; ensure data quality and timely delivery.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal/external audiences.
