Job summary

Veolia leads environmental solutions globally and is seeking a Lead Applications Technologist to tackle PFAS mitigation in water treatment. The role combines lab work with process design across laboratory, bench-scale, pilot-scale, and field studies.

You will collaborate with Process Engineering, Commercial, Product Management, and Market Development teams to deliver practical and cost-effective treatment solutions while advancing Veolia's decarbonization and resource regeneration goals.

Qualifications

• PhD in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant education and experience will be considered.
• Hands-on experience developing treatment processes and process designs for water and wastewater applications.
• Experience operating laboratory, bench-scale, pilot-scale, or demonstration-scale treatment systems.
• Experience with analytical characterization of water and wastewater samples.
• Strong PFAS treatment experience or interest.

Responsibilities

• Lead treatability and feasibility studies aligned with business goals.
• Develop proposals with technical protocols, budgets, and schedules.
• Design, set up, operate, and troubleshoot lab, bench-scale, and pilot systems.
• Support field studies with sampling and testing programs.
• Apply engineering and chemistry principles to evaluate treatment processes and develop solutions.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
