Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a dynamic PFASs Forensics Discipline Leader to guide and grow our PFASs forensics services. You will serve as a technical expert and strategic leader, supporting clients domestically and internationally, applying PFAS chemistry and forensic analytical methods.

You will collaborate with project managers and R&D teams, lead business development efforts, mentor staff, and help differentiate CDM Smith with cutting-edge PFAS solutions and thought leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD in PFASs forensics.
• More than five years of experience with PFASs and forensic tools.
• Understanding PFAS chemistry, uses, manufacturing, fate and transport.
• Experience with commercial PFAS forensics projects using non-targeted analyses.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, implementation and management of PFASs forensic services.
• Advance PFASs detection strategies using multiple analytical methods.
• Assist with technical sales, client engagement, project delivery, and proposals.
• Support ongoing R&D initiatives on PFAS characterization and emerging methods.
• Provide oversight to AI tools used for PFAS characterization.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff and support professional growth.
• Take ownership of marketing materials and position CDM Smith for client opportunities.
