Job summary

SPL is seeking a motivated Laboratory Analyst to join our energy laboratory team in Artesia, NM. You will support daily operations, perform sample preparation and analytical testing, and maintain accurate documentation in the LIMS.

You will work hands-on with GC, GC-MS and other instrumentation, contributing to quality and compliance under GLP guidelines. You will collaborate with an experienced team, handle data entry, maintain safety standards, and participate in ongoing improvements while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
• 1–2 years hands-on analytical laboratory experience, including operating analytical instrumentation such as GC, GC-MS or comparable systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation and analytical testing in accordance with approved methods, SOPs, and quality standards
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Perform data entry, documentation, and review of test results within the LIMS and other designated systems
• Support laboratory quality system by following GLP, assisting with audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Adhere to safety and compliance protocols to maintain a safe laboratory environment
• Assist with general laboratory housekeeping, inventory management, and cross-training
• Perform other duties as assigned
