Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Level II Inspector for the Gretna, LA area to support cargo inspections and analytical assessments in the petroleum sector. The role requires travel at least 15% and involves inspecting product and chemical barges, with shore-tank inventories and meticulous time-logging responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have at least one year of petroleum inspection experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to climb shore tanks up to 70 ft tall.

Qualifications

• One-year minimum petroleum inspection experience, and able to work barges.
• Ability to travel.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required.
• Ability to climb shore tanks up to 70ft tall and carry ~50 lb.
• Ability to acquire IFIA Certification and TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on product and chemical barges.
• Conduct inventories on shore tanks.
• Record complete and detailed time logs for all jobs worked.
