SGS in Beaumont, TX seeks a Petroleum Inspector to perform sampling, gauging and reconciliation of hydrocarbon transfers from shore to ships. Follow API procedures and SGS systems for reporting while coordinating with client reps and Customs.

Role requires basic English, math skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with strong safety and integrity standards. Training opportunities are available within SGS.

Qualificações

• High School or equivalent is required.
• 6 months to 2 years of transferrable industry experience preferred.
• Completion of internal Inspector Development Program Level preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• TWIC preferred; must maintain license and TWIC after employment.
• IFIA Certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Sample, measure, and temperature-check vessel and shore tanks per API procedures.
• Calculates and reports quantities; reconcile transfers.
• Complete reports using SGS Ship Inspection Report (SIR) or Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
• Coordinate with client reps, US Customs, vessel personnel and shore staff.
• Adhere to SGS safety, ethics and internal standards.
• Assist in back office duties as assigned; perform other duties.
