Job summary

Gulfstream Petroleum Services Inc. in Miami seeks a detail oriented Project Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for fuel system installations, removals, upgrades, and maintenance projects.

You will work with sales, project management and operations to ensure proper scoping, pricing and risk assessment, supporting proposals and transfer of estimates into live projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years estimating experience in petroleum contracting or construction.
• Knowledge of aboveground/underground fuel systems and generators.
• Ability to read drawings and technical specs.
• Strong pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subs.
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for petroleum projects (installations, removals, upgrades, maintenance).
• Review drawings, specs, site conditions to develop estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and subcontractors.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Assist in proposals and pricing breakdowns.
• Transfer estimate details into active projects with PMs.
• Support change-order pricing and job cost reviews.
• Maintain estimating databases and cost records.
