Job summary

John Zink Company, a Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) company, is seeking a Field Service Technician to support refining and petrochemical customers across the Mountain West and Southwest. You will travel 75%+ regionally, servicing and commissioning industrial combustion and control systems from your home base to customer sites.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, GE), VFDs, motors, pumps, valves, and emissions monitoring systems, and building

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience diagnosing and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems (Allen-Bradley, GE).
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Travel from home base to customer sites to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of industrial equipment.
• Service and support electrical, mechanical, and control systems, including PLCs, VFDs, motors, pumps, valves, actuators, and emissions monitoring systems.
• Commission, troubleshoot, and modify industrial control systems, including PLC logic, PID loops, HMIs, and related devices.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues in live industrial environments using safe practices.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support urgent customer needs.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, including redlines on drawings and schematics.
• Perform work in confined spaces following safety procedures.
• Build strong customer relationships through clear, proactive communication.
