Job summary

John Zink Company, a Koch Engineered Solutions business, is seeking a Field Service Technician to support refining and petrochemical customers across the Mountain West and Southwest regions. You will commission, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial combustion, electrical, and control systems in a customer-facing role.

The role requires 75%+ regional travel and you will operate from a home base with occasional national travel.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience modifying, diagnosing, and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems.
Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, and fabrication drawings.
Willingness to travel 75%+ within the region.

Responsibilities

Travel from home base to customer sites for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning.
Service electrical, mechanical, and control systems including PLCs, VFDs, motors, pumps, valves, actuators, and emissions monitoring.
Commission, troubleshoot, and modify industrial control systems (PLC logic, PID loops, HMIs).
Diagnose electrical and instrumentation issues in live environments and follow safety procedures.
Participate in on-call rotation for urgent needs.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and drawings.
