Job summary

Petco is looking for a Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services for clients' pets in our grooming salon. You will bathe, dry, brush, trim, and style pets, using a range of tools and equipment while prioritizing safety and comfort.

You’ll communicate with pet parents and provide grooming recommendations. This role requires completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent experience, with weekend/evening availability and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, and styling while following breed standards.
• Operate and maintain grooming tools and equipment safely and hygienically.
• Prioritize pet safety, comfort, and well‑being and communicate with pet parents.
• Educate clients on home grooming and maintenance practices.
