Job summary

Petco is seeking a reliable Key Holder to join our Pet Care Center team. You will support store leadership, supervise Partners on shift, and ensure a safe, engaging shopping environment for pets and people.

You will open/close the store, manage daily tasks, assist customers, and uphold Petco’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and service. This role offers growth within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience is required or preferred.
• Key holder or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash and transactions.
• Reliable, responsible, and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store following cash handling and safety protocols.
• Supervise Partners on shift and provide on-floor guidance.
• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Ensure store operations run smoothly and merchandise is well presented.
• Support inventory tasks and merchandising standards on the sales floor.
• Assist with cashiering, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
