Job summary

PetSmart in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking a Retail Customer Service Lead (Key Holder) to oversee daily store operations and deliver exceptional pet parent service. You will supervise associates, mentor teams, assist with onboarding, and support POS transactions while driving loyalty initiatives and in-store promotions.

The role requires full-time availability, strong communication, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced retail environment dedicated to pets and their families.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop associates, training and coaching for growth, and providing feedback into performance reviews.
• Support Services businesses as needed when the Experience Leader is not available.
• Delegate and validate completion of daily tasks and supervise when acting as Leader on Duty.
• Address and administer associate complaints and grievances.
• Promote pet parent experience and coordinate in-store events and promotions.
• Assist with POS operations and ensure accurate cash handling.
