Job summary

Destination Pet, LLC is seeking a General Manager for Puppywood Pet Resort to lead daily operations, elevate guest experience, and drive financial performance. You will guide a high-performing team, manage payroll, budgets, inventory, and partnerships while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for pets and guests.

The role emphasizes coaching, accountability, and community engagement, with opportunities to shape service excellence and operational growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily operations of the center ensuring safety, cleanliness and exceptional pet/guest experience.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing team.
• Create schedules balancing service with labor budgets.
• Manage payroll, labor costs, and staffing levels with timely payroll approval.
• Drive financial performance by managing budgets and KPIs with growth opportunities.
• Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve concerns with pet parents.
• Ensure compliance with policies and all regulations including OSHA/EEOC/ADA.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
• Partner with Destination Pet Support Teams to improve center performance.
• Maintain facility, equipment, and technology for a safe environment.
• Manage cash handling, deposits, and financial controls.
• Develop and execute local marketing initiatives and community partnerships.
• Monitor health, safety, and well-being of every pet in our care.
• Step in to support the team and perform other duties as assigned.
