Job summary

Pet Paradise in Madison, Alabama is seeking a Resort Associate to care for our four-legged guests and help maintain a safe, clean, and fun environment. You will supervise pets, follow feeding instructions, and support team members across the resort day-to-day.

Qualifications

• This position requires a considerable amount of physical labor, including pet handling and maintenance of the suites.
• Must have a true passion for working with animals.
• Cheerful, friendly, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and interact with pets inside the resort and outside in the play yards.
• Follow feeding times, amounts, and type of food.
• Maintain cleanliness of suites and dog runs by disinfecting, washing floors, scrubbing walls and removing animal waste.
• Emptying trash, mopping all floors, and cleaning restrooms, common areas, and the employee breakroom.
• Monitoring and recording important information about our pets and reporting any unusual behaviors, injuries, or critical information to management and veterinarian services if applicable.
• Using proper dog handling techniques as instructed by management.
