Job summary

Amcor is seeking a diligent Maintenance Technician to uphold PET container production equipment. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment improvements to maximize uptime and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on technical skills, strong safety practices, and the ability to train production staff. Based in Wytheville, VA, the position is full-time and on-site, with some overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or five years related experience.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and basic electrical control.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production machinery and equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and PM program updates.
• Assist in machine conversions, installations, and testing of equipment.
• Keep the parts inventory organized and ensure tools are in safe condition.
• Communicate equipment conditions to supervision and train operators as needed.
