Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC seeks a PET Nuclear Medicine Technologist at our Davenport Office. The role involves administering radiopharmaceuticals, acquiring PET/CT images, and ensuring patient safety and comfort while following ALARA and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate holds AMA-approved Radiologic Technology training, CNMT/ARRT(N) certification or registry-eligible status, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
• Nuclear Medicine Technology training in an AMA-approved program preferred.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT(N) registered or registry eligible required.
• Registry-eligible graduates must obtain certification within one year of hire; ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) must be obtained within two years.
• BLS Certification (Required)

Responsibilities

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously under physician direction.
• Calculate, measure, and record radiation dosage using a computer as prescribed.
• Detect and map radiopharmaceuticals in patients using imaging cameras.
• Gather patient history to guide diagnostic procedures for therapy.
• Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals per safety procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment.
• Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients during tests.
• Produce images for physician interpretation.
• Perform quality control checks on equipment and cameras.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Pursue ongoing education and participate in company training programs.
