Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Lecanto is seeking a PET Nuclear Medicine Technologist to operate PET/CT equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.

You will navigate EMR/PACS, care for patients, and ensure accurate imaging with strict radiation safety.

Required: AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, CNMT/ARRT(N) registry or registry-eligible within 2 years, and BLS. Oncology imaging experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• CNMT or ARRT(N) registered or registry eligible.
• Registry-eligible graduates must obtain certification within one year of hire.
• BLS Certification (Required).
• Experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred; PET/CT Oncology imaging preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously under physician direction.
• Calculate, measure and record radiation dosage under physician prescription.
• Detect and map radiopharmaceuticals in patients’ bodies using a camera for imaging.
• Gather patient history to guide diagnostic procedures.
• Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals safely.
• Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment.
• Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients and assist during tests.
• Produce images for interpretation by a physician.
• Maintain clean work environment and stay current with training.
