Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
• Nuclear Medicine Technology training from an AMA-approved school preferred.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT(N) registry eligible required; must obtain certification within 1 year if registry-eligible.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously under physician direction.
• Calculate, measure, and record radiation dosage per prescription.
• Detect and map radiopharmaceuticals in patients using a camera for imaging.
• Maintain and calibrate radiopharmaceutical equipment and safety procedures.
• Explain procedures and safety to patients and assist during tests.
