Job summary

Shields Health Care is seeking a PET technologist to provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all patient groups while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked clinical environment on Cape Cod.

This 10-hour/week position operates at the Sandwich or Harwich locations. Duties include operating PET equipment, ensuring patient safety, performing hot lab tasks, accurately documenting exams, and communicating results to radiologists.

Qualifications

• Nuclear medicine experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Proficient in starting IVs.
• State license to practice required.
• CPR certification required.
• ARRT/NMTCB registration required.

Responsibilities

• Follow Shields Health Care policies to ensure patient safety.
• Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure radiotracer concentrations.
• Perform hot lab responsibilities.
• Ensure patient is cleared of contraindications and hazards.
• Position patient for comfort and accuracy during exams.
• Record patient data in Tech Data Entry.
• Provide and issue films when appropriate.
• Forward PET data to Radiologist after exams.
