Job summary

Shields Health Care Group, Inc. seeks a PET technologist to provide professional, caring service in a fast-paced clinical setting.

This 30-hour per week position includes Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays at the Sandwich and Harwich locations on Cape Cod, MA. The role requires ARRT/NMTCB eligibility, CPR, state licensure, and prior nuclear medicine experience, with duties spanning patient prep, imaging, data entry, and coordination with radiologists.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• ARRT and/or NMTCB certification required.
• Minimum one year nuclear medicine experience.
• Must possess a state license to practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient-care skills.
• Proficient in starting IVs.
• Able to sit and use a computer for extended periods.
• Able to assist patients with mobility and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow Shields Health Care Group policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure radiotracer concentrations.
• Perform hot lab responsibilities and ensure patient safety during exams.
• Position patients for comfort and maintain communication during exams.
• Record data and complete forms for each exam in the system.
• Forward PET data to Radiologist on completion of exams and handle post-exam tasks.
