Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a PET Nuclear Medicine Technologist to produce high‑quality diagnostic images and to support patient care. The role requires imaging with radiopharmaceuticals, quality control, and active collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.

Qualifications include AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology training, CNMT/ARRT(N) registration or registry eligibility, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Must be CNMT or ARRT(N) registered or registry eligible.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Registry-eligible graduates must obtain certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction.
  • Record radiation doses using a computer per prescriptions.
  • Detect and map radiopharmaceuticals with imaging camera.
  • Gather patient history to guide diagnostic procedures.
  • Dispose of radioactive materials per safety procedures.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment.
  • Explain test procedures and safety to patients.
  • Produce images for physician interpretation.
  • Perform quality control on equipment.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Pursue ongoing education and training.
