Winsted Hospital for Animals is seeking a friendly, organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced, pet-centered clinic. The role is full-time, with 4- or 5-day workweeks and rotating Saturdays, and the candidate should enjoy helping clients and their pets while delivering exceptional care.

You will welcome clients, manage calls, coordinate appointments, assist with check-in/check-out, and maintain accurate records, all while contributing to a compassionate team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary reception, medical reception, or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and their pets with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to client questions.
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and process payments accurately.
• Maintain accurate client and patient records.
• Manage prescription refill requests per hospital protocols.
• Relay messages to veterinarians and medical team.
• Provide information on services, policies, and procedures.
