Job summary

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Specimen Processor to sort, tag, and prepare veterinary samples in our Elmhurst, IL lab. You will contribute to accurate testing and timely results, with comprehensive day-one benefits and strong teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

The role includes training, adherence to SOPs, and opportunities for career advancement, with a 40-hour work week and Tuesday–Saturday 4:00 AM–12:30 PM shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs and quality procedures.
• Detail-oriented with reliable and precise work ethic.
• Able to lift up to 50 lb and work in a laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and accession veterinary samples (blood, urine, feces, biopsies) for analysis.
• Enter specimen data into a computer tracking system.
• Rack and bundle prepared samples for delivery to testing departments.
• Assist lab staff with specimen storage and maintain Turn Around Times (TATs).
