Independence Pet Holdings, Inc. is seeking a driven Business Development Executive to identify, pursue, and close new distribution partnerships across the ecosystem.

The hybrid role is based in New York City or Chicago, focusing on agencies, brokers, MGAs/MGUs, affinity groups, and InsurTech platforms. You will own the partnership pipeline end-to-end, prospecting, negotiating terms, coordinating legal and product inputs, and driving deals to close while building long-term growth with

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or channel sales in insurance or related industries.
• Proven ability to build and manage a pipeline from scratch and close deals.
• Knowledge of agency, broker, MGA/MGU, affinity channels and partner economics.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a multi-stage pipeline of insurance distribution partners.
• Sour ce and qualify new partnership opportunities through outbound efforts.
• Own deal cycles from first contact to signed agreement.
• Collaborate with Legal, Product, Underwriting, and Operations for launches.
• Track pipeline health and report progress against targets.
• Represent the company at industry events and with partners.
