Job summary

Petco is seeking a dedicated Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, and styling, while prioritizing pet safety and comfort. You will work with pet parents to provide exceptional service and maintain high hygiene standards in the grooming salon.

Successful candidates have completed the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training, a passion for animals, and flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as per grooming schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, and haircuts.
• Operate grooming tools and maintain a clean, safe salon.
• Prioritize safety and well-being of pets; report concerns to owners and management.
• Educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
• Assist in training and supervising entry-level trainees when needed.
