Job summary

Petco Grooming is seeking a Professional Pet Stylist to provide expert grooming services for dogs and cats. You will bathe, dry, cut, and style coats, trim nails, clean ears, and ensure each pet’s comfort and safety while offering friendly guidance to owners.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco or equivalent grooming training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments (clippers, blades, brushes, dryers).
• Prioritize safety and well-being of pets, monitor for discomfort or illness and report concerns to owners and management.
• Interact professionally with pet parents, provide grooming recommendations and address inquiries.
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming area following Petco hygiene policies.
• Train, support, and supervise entry-level trainees when needed.
