Job summary

Petsense is seeking a professional groomer to provide grooming services for dogs and cats. You will use clippers, combs, and shears to clip, bathe, and shape coats while ensuring animal comfort and safety.

The role requires at least 1 year of grooming experience, ownership or willingness to purchase grooming tools, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Paragon Level 1 & 2 training is provided by Petsense.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience grooming/styling pets.
• Must provide own tools (clippers, blades, shears) or be willing to purchase required tools.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of Paragon Level 1 & 2 training provided by Petsense.

Responsibilities

• Follow and demonstrate all Petsense by Tractor Supply Mission and Values.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts with varied hours, days, nights, weekends and overtime as needed.
• Answer phone and schedule appointments.
• Assist in generating business by calling customers, scheduling appointments, and reminders.
• Book appointments and greet pets.
• Complete and maintain grooming forms and customer records.
• Adhere to safety rules and standards and monitor signs of stress in animals.
• Clip dog’s hair according to pattern, using clippers and shears.
• Comb and shape dogs’ coat and calm animals during grooming.
• Assist in store operations as needed.
