Job summary

CityVet Lone Tree is seeking a compassionate groomer to join our veterinary team, where grooming is treated as essential healthcare for pets. You’ll work with a supportive veterinary team that prioritizes quality care and patient wellbeing, not a volume-driven environment.

You will educate pet owners, maintain detailed client records, and contribute to a low-stress grooming experience in a modern facility with flexible scheduling and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
• Ability to properly and safely restrain animals.
• One year of grooming experience or formal instruction from a reputable program.

Responsibilities

• Manage grooming schedule to coordinate client demands with staff availability, aiming for 10–12 grooms per day with bathing assistance or 6 grooms without bathing assistance.
• Communicate thoroughly with clients when establishing and maintaining electronic records, including preferences and sensitivities.
• Train, supervise and develop bathing team members on bathing policies and skills.

Essential qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age at the time of hire
• Understanding and ability to properly and safely restrain animals
• One Years’ experience as a Groomer, Groomers Apprentice or has received formal instruction from a reputable grooming program

A day in the life:

• Manage the grooming schedule to efficiently coordinate the demand of the client’s needs with the availability of the grooming staff, leading to an average completion of 10-12 grooms per day (w/bathing assistance) OR 6 grooms a day (w/o bathing assistance).
• Perform thorough client communication when establishing and maintaining electronic records, including client preferences or instructions for grooming, animal’s habits and sensitivities, and any other personal preferences or requests from the client.
• Properly train, supervise and develop all bathing team members on proper bathing policies and work to develop their skills in a positive manner on an ongoing basis.
