Job summary

CityVet Lone Tree is seeking a compassionate, experienced pet groomer to join our veterinary team. We focus on caring for pets with the same attention as healthcare, valuing quality over quantity and fostering a low-stress grooming experience.

You'll work with a supportive team, have flexible scheduling, and opportunities for growth while delivering high-quality grooming and client education in a modern facility.

Qualifications

• One year of grooming experience or formal grooming training
• Ability to restrain animals safely
• Experience with anxious or senior pets is preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage grooming schedule to coordinate client needs with staff availability, aiming for 10–12 grooms per day with bathing
• Maintain electronic records and document client preferences and pet habits
• Train, supervise and develop bathing team members to improve skills

CityVet is looking for Pet Groomers to join our team! At CityVet, we know our team of happy people is as unique and diverse as the pets we care for. We recruit and promote CityVet team members based on their abilities and accomplishments and create a welcoming environment for all.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age at the time of hire
• Understanding and ability to properly and safely restrain animals
• One Years’ experience as a Groomer, Groomers Apprentice or has received formal instruction from a reputable grooming program

A Day In The Life

• Manage the grooming schedule to efficiently coordinate the demand of the client’s needs with the availability of the grooming staff, leading to an average completion of 10-12 grooms per day (w/bathing assistance) OR 6 grooms a day (w/o bathing assistance).
• Perform thorough client communication when establishing and maintaining electronic records, including client preferences or instructions for grooming, animal’s habits and sensitivities, and any other personal preferences or requests from the client.
• Properly train, supervise and develop all bathing team members on proper bathing policies and work to develop their skills in a positive manner on an ongoing basis.
