Champion Petfoods in Auburn, KY is seeking a Production Operator for 1st shift (Dry) to join our growing team. You will work with mixing, grinding, and packaging operations, ensuring safe, efficient production and accurate inventory handling.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in manufacturing or equivalent experience, the ability to operate heavy machinery, and strong teamwork and communication skills. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
• 2–3 years’ experience operating food processing machinery is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and paperwork.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Confer with Supervisor or Team Leader to determine production runs and packaging requirements.
• Perform daily inventory of dry and fresh ingredients and record levels.
• Unload trucks and complete receiving and inventory transactions.
• Operate heavy machinery including grinding and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety regulations.
• Participate in annual physical inventory and perform other duties as assigned.
