Job summary

JustFoodForDogs LLC is seeking a Production Associate in San Diego to support the making of high-quality pet meals. You will prep ingredients, cook and package batches, and help ensure strict health and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends, or overtime as production demands. Prior food prep experience is a plus, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation or production is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Accuracy, cleanliness and adherence to recipes and standards.
• Basic communication skills to collaborate with staff and management.
• Willingness to work early mornings, nights, weekends or overtime.

Responsibilities

• Ingredient preparation: weigh, measure and prep raw ingredients per recipes.
• Cooking, mixing and packing: operate equipment to produce pet food batches.
• Recipe adherence: follow production guidelines for balanced meals.
• Food safety: maintain hygiene and proper handling of materials.
• Equipment maintenance: clean and organize workspaces.
• Batch documentation: record batch info and usage for QC/traceability.
• Stock management: receive, store and rotate ingredients.
