Actalent is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Analyst to support quality testing and laboratory operations in a pet food manufacturing environment. You will perform chemical and biological analyses on raw materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.

Ideal candidates hold a science-related education, show strong attention to detail, and have interest in laboratory testing and QA. This on-site contract role is based in Thompson's Station, TN, with pay around $20.63/hour and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science discipline with coursework in quality testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to document data and prepare reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Laboratory experience through coursework, internships, or employment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and analyze raw material and finished product samples.
• Conduct chemical and biological testing to support QA and research.
• Plan and assist with laboratory experiments to evaluate product specs.
• Record test results, observations, and data accurately with documentation.
• Prepare reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and conclusions.
