Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join our Beckley, WV team. This full-time role may provide coverage at additional facilities within the region. You will perform PET/CT imaging, ensure patient safety, and communicate results with radiologists and patients.

Candidates should hold NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification, a state license where required, and a High School diploma or higher. Associate’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to protect patient safety and follow radiation safety guidelines.
• Must be able to produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Strong communication with patients, radiologists and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications and radiation safety.
• Produce high quality PET/CT images for diagnostic interpretation.
• Effectively communicate with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and PCs as needed.
• Troubleshoot scanners, coaches and peripheral equipment.
